Inlet Damper

Multi louvre style usually in a rectangular frame and often mounted on a fan inlet box. 

Can be used to control the flow through the fan and when mounted on an inlet box will produce a swirl effect for more stable operation and lower power consumption. Centrix will automatically generate curves for partially closed dampers (use the 'Options' button at the bottom of the curve plot form).

Care should be taken when using these devices at impeller tip speeds above 135 m/s as vibrations can be caused from aerodynamic interactions.
