Normal Volume

Normal volume is often specified by system designers and is usually prefixed by the letter N (eg 15 Nm3/s).

It is the actual volume at the fan inlet when the inlet pressure is at standard atmospheric conditions and the inlet temperature at zero degrees Celsius. Note that the duty specified will often be stated to be at some other temperature. Note also that some customers relate Normal volume flow to 15 degrees C instead of zero.

Centrix will calculate the actual volume required for fan selection in litres per second and show the value to the right of the volume entry box.
