Cold start Temperature
Enter a cold start temperature. Remember that a fan must be started from cold conditions even it is to operate continuously in a hot environment. The power taken by a fan is related to the inlet temperature. The lower the temperature the higher the power required.
High temperature fans can often be supplied with cold start dampers or inlet vanes which can be closed during starting to reduce the power demand at low temperatures. Centrix will calculate the closed damper start power and the starting time (see the Impeller help section).
