Bearing Seals
Centrix automatically selects an appropriate bearing seal to suit the shaft surface speed.
In general a G-Seal (double lip seal) will be selected except when the motor powers are low. This is because the seal friction is high for this type of seal and can cause motor overloading during the first 48 hours of use. V ring seals or labyrinth seals are recommended for use on fans with small motors.
When the surface speed exceeds that recommended for G-seals labyrinth seals are automatically selected.
Taconite seals are never automatically selected by Centrix. These must be manually selected by clicking the BRG SEALS button.
The width allowance for the bearing is automatically adjusted by Centrix to suit the seal type chosen.
